William Smoak

William Smoak is the President & General Manager of Smoak’s Comfort Control. He started in the heating and air conditioning business when he was only 12 years old when his father, Jack Smoak, founded the company in 1972.

In his early years, William was given numerous beginner tasks that formed the foundation of his love and dedication for the comfort business. From fabricating ductwork and equipment to performing maintenance and making service repairs, he has worked in all field divisions of the heating and air conditioning business. Because of this, he knows what it takes to be a “quality” and “customer-focused” Smoak’s Service and Installation Professional. Today, William oversees the daily operations of the office, installation, and service departments.

William graduated from The Citadel and had the prestigious honor of being handed his diploma from his father, who also was a Citadel graduate. Always aiming to learn more about the industry to better serve customers, William attends numerous classes each year offered by the trade associations and professionals groups to which he belongs.

William married his college sweetheart, and together they have two adult sons who also work for the company. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and his Boykin Spaniels, Bella and Sadie, in the outdoors, hunting, or on the water, fishing.
